Short Course Description: Ecosystem structure and function: energy flow (trophic levels / food webs) and materials cycling. Ecosystem development. Population biology / ecological interactions: competition and density – dependence; predation and hebivory; distribution and abundance of individuals and populations. Application of ecological knowledge to sustainable harvesting of plants and animals and restoration of degraded habitats.
